You know how it is… You start a project so enthusiastically and with so much ambition and before you know it life, work, chores, school, worries, kids, husband, or something else swallows up your time. This is the exactly the problem that a group of knitters came across when they had one too many half-finished sweaters and dusty balls of yarn that never realized their full potential.
And so Knittas was born. These fierce ladies describe themselves as:
” tag crew of knitters, bombing the inner city with vibrant, stitched works of art, wrapped around everything from beer bottles on easy nights to public monuments and utility poles on more ambitious outings. With a mix of clandestine moves and gangsta rap — Knitta was born! Today, Knitta is a group of ladies of all ages, nationalities, and… gender”.
They don’t mess around! Their crew has knit-tagged (I feel ridiculous using that term) everywhere from the Great Wall of China, to El Salvador, and L.A.
