The Designer-Artist collaboration is nothing new. Whether it was Salvador Dali and Elsa Schiaparelli back in the 1930’s or Louis Vuitton + Murakami in the present day, it seems to be the formula that keeps on keepin’ on.
The latest and greatest collabo is between DKNY and comic book artist Paul Pope who has been wondering what people will be wearing in the year 2089. Now that is some serious trend forecasting.
The “2089” Clothing line will focus on urban living in a future heavily influenced by manga as well as references to Pope’s comic books. You can peruse through DKNY’s promo website to view Pope’s sketches and inspiration or visit the store and purchase a piece of the future.
